Notification to resume sports activities issued – IG News

Following the reduction in the rate of corona cases, sports activities were also allowed in Punjab while maintaining the easing of restrictions.

A notification has been issued to resume sports activities in Punjab. Activities for 30 non-contact sports across the province will resume from tomorrow.

According to Sports Board Punjab, ban on 12 contact sports will remain. Rowing, karate, taekwondo, judo, kickboxing, tug-of-war, judo, rugby, wrestling, kabaddi, Muay Thai and wushu training will be banned.

Gymnastics, cricket, basketball, volleyball, weightlifting, handball, athletics, mountain biking, baseball, football, table tennis, cycling, track cycling, fencing, golf, water polo, hockey, archery, rowing will be allowed ۔

Badminton, shooting, modern pentathlon, sky jumping, cross country, snooker and billiards, football and swimming will be allowed.
