Important news regarding petroleum products – IG News

ISLAMABAD: The government has further reduced sales tax on petroleum products, reduced sales tax on kerosene from 15.44 per cent to 10.07 per cent and light diesel sales tax rate to 3.67 per cent.

According to the details, the government has further reduced the sales tax on petroleum products and issued a notification in this regard. The notification said that the sales tax on kerosene has been reduced from 15.44 per cent to 10.07 per cent.

The notification said that the sales tax rate on light diesel has been reduced to 3.67 per cent, the sales tax rate on light diesel was 7.56 per cent but the sales tax rate on petrol and high speed diesel will remain at 17 per cent.

It may be recalled that the government had rejected the OGRA summary and announced to maintain the prices of petroleum products, saying that the government would make adjustments in other taxes including petroleum levy and sales tax.
