National airline PIA has postponed air safari flights to northern areas for a week.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the decision to postpone the safari flights was taken following a letter from the Meteorological Department.
The spokesman said that clear weather is essential for a spectacular view, so the inaugural flight of the air safari will depart on June 19 instead of June 12.
The PIA had announced an air safari from June 12 and fixed a one-way fare of Rs 25,000.
The air safari will have the opportunity to see the highest peaks in Gilgit-Baltistan. The air safari will land at Skardu via Kalam, Lake Saif-ul-Mulk Nagaparbat, K2.
It may be recalled that the national airline PIA operated 8, 8 flights at Barakardu and Gilgit airports for the first time in its history to promote tourism.
