Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar visited Qadirabad without Protocol Head and inspected the inflow and outflow of water in the barrage.
During his visit to Head Qadirabad, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar directed to make pre-arrangements to deal with possible floods before the monsoon season.
On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that he would not tolerate any negligence in the arrangements for dealing with the possible floods.
He said that in the past it has been the habit of the departments to do exhibition work when the time comes, now it does not happen and it will not happen.
Usman Bazdar also gave instructions for rehabilitation of rest houses and residential buildings of Irrigation Department at Head Qadirabad.
He ordered reconstruction of road from Irrigation Colony to Barrage.
During the briefing, the Punjab Chief Minister was informed that the current water storage in Qadirabad Barrage is 32,000 cusecs, 22,000 cusecs of water is being supplied to Qadirabad Block Link Canal and 10,000 cusecs of water is being released into the river.
On the arrival of the Punjab Chief Minister, the locals also reached there. On this occasion, Usman Bazdar mingled with the people, listened to their problems and gave instructions to his staff on the spot to solve the problems.
An elderly woman offered prayers to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar for resolving the issue.
