LAHORE: Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen withdrew their bail pleas in corporate fraud and money laundering cases, on which the court directed the FIA to report seven days before any disciplinary action.
According to details, interim bail of Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen was heard in the Sessions Court in the corporate fraud and money laundering case. Additional Sessions Judge Hamid Hussain and Rafaqat Ali Gondal heard the cases.

Accused including Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen appeared in the court, the FIA investigator stated in both the courts that there is no need to arrest Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen, they are still reviewing the record, to which Jahangir Tareen’s lawyers said. That all the records are with the FIA, so there is no need to make an arrest.
The lawyers of the accused sought withdrawal of their bail applications on which the court disposed of the applications and said that if the FIA wanted an arrest, it would inform them first.
On the other hand, the fake accounts case against Jahangir Tareen was heard in the Banking Court. Due to the transfer of the Judge of the Banking Court, duty Judge Rafaqat Ali Gondal heard the case.
Lawyer Jahangir Tareen said that they have been undergoing an inquiry for months. More than a dozen different people have been involved in the investigation.
The lawyer said that the case does not fall under the jurisdiction of the FIA, the SECP deals with matters relating to companies, the plaintiff and the investigator became the FIA itself, it reached the limit before the execution.
To which the court said that as a judge he does not want to comment on this matter, our society is going downhill day by day, it is a long debate as to who should be accused and who should not be accused.
Deputy Director FIA said that there is no need to arrest Jahangir Tareen yet, if ever there is a need, the FIA will inform first, on which lawyer Jahangir Tareen requested the FIA to order 10 days notice, the court ordered FIA to inform 7 days before any disciplinary action. ۔
Talking to media after the hearing, Jahangir Tareen said that there is no connection between my cases and the budget. The FIA itself says there is no need for arrest.
A large number of assembly members and workers were also present in the court on the occasion. Activists chanted slogans in favor of Jhangir Tareen and were showered with flowers.
