Abu Dhabi: Lahore Qalandars have defeated Peshawar Zalmi by ten runs in the crucial match of PSL Six. Lahore Qalandars had given a target of 171 runs to Peshawar Zalmi which Peshawar Zalmi could not achieve.
According to the details, in the 17th match of PSL Six, Lahore Qalandars gave a target of 171 runs to Peshawar Zalmai to win. In reply, Peshawar Zalmi scored only 73 runs for the loss of six wickets in his innings.
In the allotted overs of the match, Peshawar Zalmi’s team scored 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Shoaib Malik batted brilliantly for 73 runs while Ameed Asif scored 23 runs.
Despite severe difficulties in the beginning, Lahore made a brilliant comeback. Four Qalandars batsmen returned to the pavilion for 25 runs. Tim David and Ben Dunk shared a 81-run stand.
Tim David played an aggressive innings of 64 off 36 balls. Ben Dunk was dismissed for 48 runs. For Peshawar, Fabian Allen took two wickets, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan, Ameed Asif and Mohammad Imran took one wicket each.
A match will be played in PSL Six today. Quetta Gladiators, who have lost four of the five matches in the tournament, will take on Islamabad United. For Quetta Gladiators, there is a do-or-die situation. The match will start at 9 pm Pakistan time.
