PML-N and PTI women face each other during the budget speech

PML-N and PTI women came face to face during the budget speech.

PML-N women picked up placards and huddled behind the finance minister. PTI women snatched anti-government placards.

The budget for the financial year 22-2021 was presented in the National Assembly during the noise and protests by the opposition.

Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen presented a federal budget of Rs 8,487 billion.

The federal budget has set a growth target of 4.8% for the next financial year.

The salaries and pensions of federal government employees have been increased by 10% while the minimum wage has been raised to Rs 20,000 per month.

Rs 100 billion has been allocated for the Cowed Emergency Relief Fund, Rs 5 billion for local government elections and a new census.

The federal budget has proposed Rs 20 billion for PIA and Rs 16 billion for steel mills.

Rs 100 million has been allocated for anti-rape fund, Rs 66 billion has been allocated for Higher Education Commission.

During the budget speech, Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen said that no new tax would be imposed on the salaried class.
