ISLAMABAD: The federal budget for the next financial year will be presented today. The budget of Rs 8,000 billion will be presented by Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tareen.
According to the details, the documents related to the budget for the new financial year have been delivered to the Parliament House. Books based on the details of the budget will be given to the members at the beginning of the meeting.
The documents include key figures for the current financial year, budget proposal targets, ARY News has obtained key figures for the new budget.
It has been decided to keep the GDP growth at 4.8 per cent for the next financial year. According to the budget document, the growth target for the agriculture sector has been set at 5 per cent.
According to the document, the growth target for cotton has been set at 10 per cent for fisheries and forestry and 5 per cent for industries, besides 6.5 per cent for industrial growth in the next financial year.
The budget document sets a growth target of 6.2 per cent for the manufacturing sector for the next financial year, as well as a large-scale manufacturing growth target of 6 per cent.
The growth target for the construction sector has been set at 8.3 per cent and for the services sector at 4.7 per cent during the financial year.
