Prime Minister Imran Khan also visited the ancient city of Bukhara on Friday during his recent visit to Uzbekistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Twitter account shared some photos of the memorable visit, along with Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Sheikh Rashid.
In a statement issued on Twitter, the Prime Minister said, “I visited the ancient city of Bukhara. For centuries, Bukhara has been a center of learning for people.”
“Genghis Khan was very impressed with the height of the tower here. He left the tower when Genghis Khan destroyed the city,” he said.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also offered Fateha at the mausoleum of the founder of the Naqshbandi dynasty during his visit to Bukhara.
Earlier, he had said in a message on Twitter that Samarqand was a great city of the world at the beginning of the 15th century. My visit to Samarqand was memorable and amazing.
