KARACHI: Gold prices rose on the first day of the business week in the country and the dollar crossed Rs 161.
Chairman All Pakistan Jewelers Manufacturers Association Muhammad Arshad said that the price of gold in the country has gone up by Rs 300 per tola to Rs 19,959.
The price of 10 grams of gold in the country increased by Rs 257 to Rs 94,264.
Gold prices continued to decline in the global market, with gold trading at 180 1,802 an ounce, down ڈالر 10.
The rise in the value of the dollar
On the other hand, the dollar became more expensive in the interbank market. In the interbank market, the dollar rose by Rs 54 paise.
In the interbank market, the dollar rose by Rs 159.94 to close at Rs 161.48. According to experts, the dollar strengthened and the rupee weakened due to increased demand.
