On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, a lockdown was announced in the Iranian capital to prevent the spread of Corona.
According to international media reports, the government has announced a six-day lockdown from Tuesday, which will remain in force in the capital Tehran and adjoining areas.
Officials say the deadliest type of epidemic, Delta Variant, is spreading rapidly across the country and is now turning into the fifth most dangerous wave.
In recent days, Tehran has been in the red zone due to medical restrictions and protocols, which have reduced the death rate from 70% to 50%.
Eid al-Adha will be celebrated in Iran on Wednesday, and there is a risk of an outbreak of the disease due to the influx of people during the Eid, as well as the large-scale interaction of people during the weekly holidays.
In view of these dangers, a six-day lockdown has been announced in the capital for the safety and security of the people.
