Indira Kitchens will be started at 74 places in 64 rural towns of the district. The commencement is proposed to take place in the first week of September. Collector Bhagwati Prasad Kalal said that realizing the concept of ‘no one should sleep hungry’, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced to start Indira Rasoi Yojana (Rural) in rural towns with a population of more than five thousand. Through these, nutritious and tasty food will be available to the general public at the rate of Rs 8. In the rural towns of the district, these kitchens will be operated by women self-help groups through Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Council (Rajivika). Groups have been selected for operation in the district.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Nitya K. Told that under the scheme, Rs 8 per plate will be charged from the beneficiary. The state government will give Rs 17 per plate as government grant. He said that for the effective operation of kitchens in rural areas, a one-day orientation workshop of the group members will be organized in the Zilla Parishad auditorium on September 1 from 10 am. In this, you will be introduced to the guidelines of kitchen operation. Visits will be made to the kitchens operating in the city, so that they can gain practical knowledge of kitchen operations.
