Washington, September 26 (Language) America has said that Canada’s investigation into the murder of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar should move forward and the criminals should be brought to justice.
Canada has alleged that Indian authorities were behind Nijjar’s murder. India has completely rejected these allegations as baseless.
“We are very concerned about the allegations made by (Canadian) Prime Minister (Justin) Trudeau,” US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in his daily press conference. We are in close contact with our Canadian partners.”
“I believe it is important to move forward with Canada’s investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice,” Miller said in response to a question. We have publicly and privately appealed to the Indian government to cooperate with Canada’s investigation.
