Hoisted the Tricolor at Umling-La Pass through Bullet 450 through rocky roads in the midst of rain. The name of this road is also recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Vijaya Sharma, a resident of Jaipur’s Bhankrota, says that she is the only solo bike rider in Rajasthan to reach Umling-La Pass by bike. His father-in-law had given him the first bike. She has also traveled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari by bike in 104 hours. She told that during riding she comes out wearing silver ornaments. If she gets stuck somewhere or needs money, she gives silver ornaments. They told- this makes them feel safe.

Vijaya Sharma, a resident of Bhankrota, says that she is a solo bike rider from Rajasthan who reaches Umling La by bike.
First of all know what is Umling-La Pass
The road is on the border between Koyul Lungpa and the Indus River, 230 km from Leh, near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the eastern part of the Ladakh region. This pass is at an altitude of 19 thousand 300 feet above sea level. In the winter season, the mercury here falls to minus 40 degrees.
Vijaya Sharma told – There were many difficulties on the way. I chose the time of rains, so problems were bound to come. I had to do Amarnath Yatra first. Started the journey from Jaipur on 9th July. First went to Pahalgaon. From Pahalgaon it reached Kashmir and Baltal. After staying here for one night, after getting the registration done, Amarnatra went on foot. After reaching back to Baltal, it left for its important stop Umling-La Pass. It was my dream to cover this ride. It is the dream of all riders. Because it is the highest pass. It was opened only last year. Earlier two girls from Rajasthan covered this. He did this in a group.

Women and girls meet in the journey and know the experiences related to solo ride.
I am the first woman from Rajasthan to cover it as a solo rider. Departed in the evening a day before reaching Umling-La Pass. During this the bike also got hot on the way. Took a while for the bike to cool down. When it came out in the dark, army soldiers were found on the way. He forbade me to go alone at night. Permission not given. Then brought down with you. Left the bike there. Came down and reached the bike in the morning. Then on 21 July reached the top of Umling Pass. The happiness I got by going there. It was nothing less than an award. After this, reached back to Jaipur on 25th July.
During this journey, many problems like land slide to rain, strong wind had to be faced. I never thought of going back. I am very stubborn in this matter. He accepted only after completing his journey. Driving on the rocky road was not easy.
Father-in-law got the first bike
He told- There has always been a bike in my house. The first bike for the job was given to me by my father-in-law. After this I rode two more Bajaj bikes. My husband cooperated in this. Used to go to work in school-college. Used to ride a bike there. Once she left the job and came back. I had 12000 rupees in my hand. Told daughter that I have to go to Goa. Daughter said you should go. At that time I had read a story, in which a woman used to remove punctures on the road. He had a story. I got inspired by this story. Thought that this woman removes puncture on the road alone. It takes so much courage. I too can do anything alone.

Vijaya has completed the journey of Umingla through bullet bike.
Vijaya Sharma told- At that time I thought that I should do this journey solo by bike. Taking two pairs of clothes, I left on my bike. Reached Goa. At that time there was not even a bike riding kit. After visiting Goa, reached Jaipur safely by bike. Some of my friends appreciated the Facebook post. In such a situation, Sandeep Dutta, a young man living in Kolkata, called me to Kolkata after seeing my riding skills. Here he appreciated my Goa solo trip. Told me about different things about riding. It was he who inspired me to get a riding kit. From here I started preparing for riding. I wanted to get a good bike. Six thousand rupees fell short to make the down payment of the bike. At that time my Delhi friend Rudra helped me. Bought bike. Then started riding solo.
I go out wearing silver things
Vijaya told- People never go out wearing gold and silver things on the ride. I go out wearing anklets and other things while riding. I believe whenever I am needed on the way. If there is no money or if something big is needed, then these silver things can help to get out of that problem.
Once the car ran out of petrol during the ride, the internet was not working during the transaction. The hair was also completely gone. In such a situation, I had also offered silver anklets at the petrol pump. Another rider was also there at that time. He helped me there. I later returned the money to him. I wear it in silver for the purpose of my safety.

Till now Vijaya has done solo ride of lakhs of kilometers.
After leaving the job, there was a big problem
Vijaya told that I belong to a middle class family. Earlier, when I used to do a job, I used to earn. After leaving the job, a big problem started. I ask my husband They also know it’s stubborn. It will remain after riding. Then they help. Both my children are engineers. They have also started helping me for rides now. Many times sought help from the government as well, but never got cooperation. Have done such difficult journeys, which no woman can do alone. I leave with a picture of Rajasthan. If the government wants, it can promote the story of progress of Rajasthan through me.

Vijaya told that right now the biggest goal is to do the four corners of India.
Family pressure remains, but I am very stubborn
He told- There is a lot of family pressure, but everyone knows that I am very stubborn. I have just come after a ride to Umingla. About 60 thousand rupees were spent on this. This expense has been borne by the husband. Money goes into everything. When there is no money, even the family members ask them to stay. I would like that cooperation should continue. People call me at many rallies and events, but never get anything. Arrive at your own expense. Looks like petrol too. People should help all those who are doing well. An inspiration to girls and women. Everyone should cooperate with them
The biggest dream is to do the four corners of India
My dream is big, it’s going to cost a lot of money. That’s why I’m stuck. I want to do the four corners of India. By the way, I have covered whole of India, have also done two international rides. Four Corners that is. Khardungla to Kanyakumari, Tezu to Koteshwar. It’s like a plus sign. Which is a ride of about 15 thousand kilometers. I want to cover it in 15 days, it is very difficult. It is stopped only because of money, if there is money now, I can leave in October itself.
