Srinagar, August 2: Popular actor of Kashmiri origin Mir Sarwar will be seen playing the role of Pakistani Brigadier Salim in the much-awaited upcoming Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel film Gadar 2.
Speaking to The Kashmir Monitor, Sarwar said that working with the Gadar 2 team was a great experience.
“Gadar 2 is one of the longest duration (days) I have shot for any film till date. It was a pleasure working with Anil Sharma sir for the first time. He is a wonderful human being and director. He doesn’t stick to the lines; He works on the emotion behind it. It is one of the biggest franchises and everyone has high expectations from it, which puts a lot of pressure on the makers as well.” “I am having a great time working with Sunny Deol sir and Utkarsh Sharma, our director’s son. Put. But as far as remembering the entire shoot is concerned, I have made some good friends. I am playing the role of Brigadier Saleem, the second in command after the main villain General Hamid.
Interestingly, Gadar 2 and Sarvar’s debut Malayalam film ‘Samara’ are releasing on August 11.
“Samara is also releasing on 11th August and it is my first Malayalam film starring Rahman and directed by Charles J. I remember when I was given the script, I realized it was going to be a big challenge. I found the lines in roman and audio but that didn’t work. Later I wrote a translation of the dialogue so that I would know what I am saying. A voice can be dubbed but the expression has to be accurate,” Sarwar told The Kashmir Monitor.
Sarwar’s independent film ‘Lafzon Mein Pyaar’ is also releasing this week on August 4. It is written and directed by Dheeraj Sharma. The star cast also includes Zarina Wahab, Anita Raj and Lalit Parimoo.
After tasting success in Bollywood, Sarwar recently made her debut in the Marathi film industry with a bang.
Sarwar played the role of Bahlol Khan in the Marathi film ‘Rao Rambha’ and his performance impressed film critics.
Sarwar’s Bollywood movies including IB71 opposite Vidyut Jammwal, Hunter opposite Sunil Shetty and TAJ web series starring Naseeruddin Shah were also released recently.
Prior to this, Sarwar had acted in popular Bollywood films such as Kesari, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Jolly LLB 2, Dishoom, Shershaah, Mission Majnu and Phantom. He was also seen in Jackie Chan’s international film ‘Vanguard’.
