Korba News: Heavy vehicles parked randomly causing jam, action started

Korba (Naiduniya representative). Due to haphazardly parked vehicles on the Imlichhapar to Sarvamangala road, a traffic jam is being created continuously. On Sunday, the District Transport Department took challan action on 25 randomly parked vehicles and imposed a fine of Rs 34 thousand. There is no yard facility for parking vehicles on the route. In such a situation, the drivers are worried about the challan action.

The demand for coal in private industries is continuously increasing. This is having a direct impact on transportation. The speed at which the number of heavy vehicles on the roads has increased has not been matched by the strengthening of the roads. One and a half lakh population of the city is troubled by the traffic jam every day on the Imlichhapar to Sarvamangala road. The biggest problem is faced by the commuters who commute daily and those working in private and government offices. Apart from this, more than 30 small and big school buses ply on the route.

Due to road traffic jams, children are not able to reach school on time. Several meetings have been held at the administration level to find a solution to the jam. Even after this the result has not come out. After taking out the vehicle from the coal mine, the drivers traveling long distances park the vehicle as per their convenience to cook food and take bath. Due to lack of option of yard facility for vehicle parking, the drivers are facing the brunt of challan action. Besides, people also have to worry unnecessarily.
