Dausa’s POCSO court has sentenced life imprisonment to a man convicted of molesting a minor.
Dausa’s POCSO court has sentenced life imprisonment (till the remaining natural life span) to Mahendra Singh Kasana, resident of Bawanpada, Sikrai, convicted in the case of unnatural intercourse with a minor. In this regard, a complaint was lodged by the complainant at Manpur police station on 4 February 2021.
In the report lodged at the police station, it was stated by the complainant that the accused Mahendra had committed adultery (unnatural intercourse) with her minor nephew.
On this, the police registered a case under various sections including POCSO, got the minor treated and medically examined and presented a challan.
Special Public Prosecutor Sunil Kumar Saini said that 13 witnesses and 17 documents were presented in the court. Advocate Vinod Kumar Banshiwal appeared on behalf of the victim’s side.
On the basis of statements and documents of witnesses, Presiding Officer of POCSO Court, Anu Aggarwal, sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 31 thousand.
