Senior observer Madhusudan Mistry has hinted at ticket announcements in the first week of October.

Congress may issue tickets for the assembly elections in the first week of October. Tickets will not be declared before September 30, this has been indicated by senior party leader and senior observer Madhusudan Mistry. He told that there will be a meeting for tickets in Jaipur for 2 days, after which further action will be taken. He had reached Bikaner on Tuesday to meet senior Congress leaders and contenders. He took stock of the ground situation of Congress here and held a meeting with the workers late in the evening.

Mistry, who came to Bikaner, said while talking to journalists that Congress is not a corporate company, which runs according to dates. We will first discuss tickets in Jaipur on 30th September and 1st October. Something final may happen in two-four days. Currently, 33 senior leaders of All India Congress Committee (AICC) are roaming across the state. Meeting workers and leaders. All of them will reach Jaipur and participate in the 2-day meeting. It may take two-four days back and forth.

Ticket based on opinion
Mistry said that in Congress only the high command decides the ticket. Right now we are taking opinion among the public. The party president will be informed on the basis of conversation with everyone. After this the tickets will be finalized from there itself. Regarding the conditions of the ticket, Madhusudan Mistry said that it is decided by the Coordination Committee of the Congress. I can not decide. The party runs under a system only.

OPS challenge to BJP
Mistry said that the BJP government reduced the cylinder price by Rs 200, the Congress government is reducing the cylinder price by Rs 500 in Rajasthan. If BJP wants to do something then it should start the old pension scheme. He said that we have known BJP for a long time. I myself had contested the elections against Modi. He said that Congress was the first to bring the bill to give 33 percent reservation to women in the Assembly and Lok Sabha. We had also passed it in Rajya Sabha. Then BJP people had opposed it.

There was a lot of commotion throughout the day during Mistry’s visit to Bikaner. In the hope of getting the ticket, Congress leaders demonstrated strength in front of Mistry. Education Minister Dr. BD Kalla expressed his claim from Bikaner West while Mangalaram Godara demanded ticket from Sridungargarh. City and rural Congress presidents also presented their views regarding the tickets. Rajendra Mund also demanded ticket from Lunkaransar. His supporters raised slogans here.
