longest sea bridge in India; Atal Sethu’s night video goes viral IG News

Atal Sethu’s aerial footage of the Mumbai Trans Harbor Sealink (MTHL), the country’s longest sea bridge inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, is going viral in the cyber world. The beautiful night scenes of the bridge stretching into the sea mesmerize the viewers and extend to X.

The longest sea bridge in the country connects Suri and NavaΕ‘eva. The 22 km long six-lane road runs along the sea for 16.5 km and on land for 5.5 km.

The arrival of the bridge reduces travel time between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and economically connects Mumbai and Raigad district. The sea bridge is named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The bridge, which was built with a lifespan of 100 years, can pass 70,000 vehicles daily. This will reduce the travel distance from South Mumbai to Chirl by about 30 km. Crossing the bridge takes 16 minutes.

Using Atal Sethu is expected to save one million liters of fuel annually. In addition to reducing pollution levels, CO2 emissions can also be reduced by approximately 25680 metric tons. The bridge was built using 177,903 tons of steel and 504,253 tons of cement.
