Thane, September 18 (Language) Maharashtra government minister Ravindra Chavan claimed that the next mayor of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) of Thane district will be from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing a gathering of BJP workers in Kalyan on Sunday, Chavan also said that the BJP and Shiv Sena will fight the upcoming elections in Maharashtra together under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
No announcement has been made yet regarding the pending elections of municipal corporations in the state.
Before the end of its tenure, KDMC was ruled by Shiv Sena (undivided).
Chavan said, “BJP and Shiv Sena will fight all the upcoming elections together under the leadership of Shinde.” After the elections, only BJP candidate will become the mayor of KDMC. We hope that a proper consensus will be reached between both the parties regarding the candidate for the post of Mayor. The entire process will be done taking the alliance into confidence.
The minister claimed that Chief Minister Shinde never goes back on his words and this time too he will definitely keep his promise.
