Accused Makhan Singh was arrested in December in connection with a robbery at a petrol pump and was remanded in police custody for two days. He was remanded in police custody in connection with the robbery. His remand was due to end today but he committed suicide by hanging himself in the lockup at 5 am. The accused has already been booked in five cases.
