Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday rejected the demand to grant independent state status to the Kuki-dominated districts. 10 MLAs had demanded for this. This includes seven BJP MLAs including two from the Kuki People’s Alliance and one independent. Speaking to the media on this matter, the Chief Minister said that we will not allow any blow to the integrity of Manipur.
