No official announcement has been made so far. However, SIA has mentioned in a recent exchange filing that discussions are ongoing to further strengthen its partnership with Tata. Along with Vistara, Tata Sons is also planning to merge Airasia and Airindia Express into Airindia. Air India aims to triple the number of flights in the next five years, company CEO Campbell Wilson said last month. In this order, Airbus and five Boeing big planes have also been ordered. The short-term target is to reach 30 percent share of domestic aviation.
