Meteorological department issues yellow alert, temperature could reach 45 degrees – News18 Punjab

New Delhi: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert regarding heatwave in Delhi. The meteorological department has urged the people to be extra vigilant during this period. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, will be 28 degrees. And the maximum temperature will be 41 degrees. The heat wave continues in the national capital, Delhi. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), hot winds are likely to blow again in Delhi on Friday. The maximum daytime temperature can reach 44 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures in some parts of Delhi The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday and Saturday issued a yellow alert warning of heatwave in most parts of the capital. The temperature on Thursday touched 44-45 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature at Delhi’s base station Safdarjung Observatory reached 42.5 degrees Celsius. It was 41.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Delhi’s Najafgarh (44.7 degrees Celsius), Mungeshpur (45.4 degrees Celsius) and Pitampura (44 degrees Celsius) had a maximum of at least five degrees Celsius above normal.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) issued yellow alerts on Friday and Saturday, warning of heat waves in most parts of the capital. An Orange Alert has been issued on Sunday to warn people of the scorching heat wave. Many northern Indian states are currently not getting relief from the scorching heat. With temperatures hovering above 40 degrees Celsius in many states, the effect of the heatwave will be even greater in the coming days, according to the meteorological department. Speaking of today, the minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 29 degrees Celsius and the maximum 44 degrees Celsius.

In addition, heat wave conditions are possible in most parts of Rajasthan, some parts of Western Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Vidarbha, North Central Maharashtra and isolated parts of Haryana, Delhi and Eastern Madhya Pradesh.
