Jhabua. After the Corona period, once again the district hospital has become overloaded. The number of patients has increased so much that there are no beds left for them. He is forced to sleep downstairs. The situation is such that even extra mattresses have fallen short. In such a situation, patients have to be given blankets to lay on the floor. From this the situation can be estimated. At present, more than 300 patients are coming to the district hospital for examination every day.
It is noteworthy that Jhabua’s district hospital has a capacity of 200 beds. At present more than 250 patients are admitted in 13 wards. There are only the same number of attendees, due to which the arrangements have started breaking down. Patients are not able to get beds. Treatment is necessary, so he is being put to sleep.
Such is the situation in the ward: There are a total of 13 wards in the district hospital. In this, patients are admitted twice the capacity in Male Medical, Female Medical, Male Surgical, Female Surgical, General Ward, ICU.
Patient is being kept in the corridor
If there is less space in the ward, the patient is being kept outside in the corridor. Even on Monday the situation was such that all the beds were filled. The patient could not be made to sleep on the floor, so extra mattresses were given to lie on. Whereas there is no arrangement of any kind for the attender. At night, the family members accompanying the patient are sleeping on the floor wherever they can. As the arrangements deteriorated due to the increasing number of patients, the hospital management has now started discharging normal patients. So that other serious patients can get beds.
Number of dengue and viral fever patients increased
These days, due to increase in cases of dengue and viral fever, the number of patients admitted to the district hospital has increased. Apart from this, cases of road accidents are also continuously coming due to which such situations have arisen. In the past, during the Corona period, such situations had arisen when beds were not available for patients.
