File an FIR against R. Shankar

Recently, an FIR was registered against R. Shankar in Ranebennur Town Police Station of the district in connection with the case of luring voters. Tehsildar Guru Basavaraja had complained to the police station alleging that MSc Shankar had lured the voters during the election and mentioned that he had distributed cookers and sarees to the voters.

Based on the complaint filed by the Tehsildar, the police registered an FIR against the MLC. On the night of March 14, R. Shankar’s office was raided by Haveri AC, commercial tax officials. The revenue department submitted the information found to the court. The complaint was filed as per permission of the court.

Accused of sharing kukkar, sari

After the election, MLC Shankhar has lured the voters by distributing cookers and sarees. Guru Basavaraja had complained that legal action should be taken against him. Accordingly, the police registered a complaint under section 171 E and started an investigation. R. Sarees, plates and school bags worth lakhs of rupees kept in Shankar’s office have been secured by the police, and the police of the city station have taken strict precautions to prevent anyone from entering the office.

Commercial Tax Department officials raided his house. Shankar had expressed outrage against Swapaksha itself.
