Two persons were killed when a car collided with a two-wheeler near Nagai.
Mohammad Riyaz hails from Thirunallar in Karaikal district. He was working at a ration shop in Karaikal Medu area when he and his friend Mohammad Iqbal went on a two-wheeler separately from Thirunallar to Ervadi.
As they were approaching Eesanur, the car behind them suddenly collided with a two-wheeler. Mohammad Riyaz died on the spot and Mohammad Iqbal was rushed to the Naga State Medical College Hospital.
Mohammad Iqbal, who was undergoing treatment there, succumbed to his injuries. Lower Yor police have registered a case and are investigating.
