Nagpur, The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had arrested Dilip Khode red-handed on Tuesday evening for extorting a bribe of Rs 25 lakh from an RTO officer in the name of a Congress MLA. Now his call details are being scrutinized. During this, it is being ascertained with whom he was in contact.

In this matter, the MLA of the Legislative Council from Pusad, Wajahat Mirza can also be questioned. Khode is working as a technician in MIDC but his political connections are very strong. He has also been the OSD of the ministers and also does liaisoning for government work. Sources say that he was working in the ministry but it has not been officially confirmed by the ACB. On Wednesday, the ACB team presented him in the special court.

Custody remand of 7 days was sought by ACB. The court has sent Khode to ACB custody till April 1. Two women had accused the RTO officer of sexual and mental harassment. Khode and his accomplice Chandrashekhar Bhoyar approached the officer.

Told him that MLA Mirza can present questions in the Legislative Council. If this is to be avoided, then 50-50 lakh rupees will have to be given to settle the complaint of both the women. Later Khode settled for Rs 25 lakh. Earlier Bhoyar was also with him but he was not present at the time of the trap. ACB is also looking for Bhoir.

Profession Technician, 5 crore flat

After nabbing Khode, the ACB team searched his flat located in Hiranandani Midas, Thane. ACB officials were also surprised to see his posh flat. It is said that the cost of the flat in the building where Khode lives is close to 5 crores. It is surprising that a government employee working as a technician has such an expensive flat. Apart from this, searches were also conducted at Khoda’s house in Yavatmal. Khode’s parents live there. Some documents were also seized from both the houses.
