Nagpur: NMRDA’s budget of 1 thousand 480 crores approved IG News








Nagpur; Leading News Service: Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s annual budget of Rs 1,480 crore was approved today (Friday, 10th) in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Suggestions were also given in the meeting that more emphasis should be placed on infrastructure development along with collective development. Nagpur is a vice-capital city and the Chief Minister assured that priority is being given to the overall development of this city.

Deputy Chief Minister and Nagpur District Guardian Minister Devendra Fadnavis was present on this occasion. In the meeting Chief Secretary Manu Kumar Srivastava Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Bhushan Gagrani Municipal Commissioner of NMRDA Manoj Kumar Suryavanshi Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar Municipal Commissioner B. Radhakrishnan and senior officials were mainly present.

Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority budget of 1 thousand 480 crore rupees was presented by Metropolitan Commissioner Manoj Kumar Suryavanshi, this budget includes development fund 394 crore forty lakh rupees advance tax and deposits 59 crore project fund 1025 crore 56 lakh rupees. In the year 2023-24, Rs.200 crores for general roads and bridges under Amrit Doan scheme, Rs.50 crores for laying water channels and sewers, Rs.50 crores for construction of protection wall, Rs.10 crores for development works under NATP, Rs.35 crores for development works under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Rs.10 crores and five crores for old age homes and fire stations. The budget includes Rs 100 crore for Mahalakshmi Koradi shrine development phase three and four, Rs 49 crore for Diksha Bhoomi development, Rs 25 crore under Swadesh Pilgrimage Development, Rs 50 crore for Amrit Doan Yojana, Rs 43 crore for Futala Lake and Dr. 15 crore has been allocated for Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre. Appropriations and expenditure incurred in previous budget 21-22 as well as revised 22-23 were also approved.
