Nagpur: Two Naxalites, including a woman, surrendered before the police in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. A total reward of Rs 6 lakh was announced on both of them. A senior official has given this information. Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Ankit Goel said in a statement that the surrendered Maoists have been identified as Anil alias Ramsay Kujur, 26, a resident of Gadchiroli, and Roshni Pallo, 30, a resident of Chhattisgarh.

Goyal said that a reward of Rs 4 lakh was announced on Kujur and Rs 2 lakh on Pallo. Kujur was working in the organization as a militia (combatant) member. He was wanted in the Khobramendha and Gairapatti attacks in 2011 and the Chhota Jeliya encounter case in the same year.

The officer said that Pallo was serving as a deputy commander and militia member in the Maoist outfit before surrendering. Goyal said that a total of 51 Naxalites have surrendered since the year 2019. (agency)
