NEET-UG will be held on any date between June 3-5; CUET-UG from June 5-8 IG News

Medical entrance exam NEET-UG which was postponed in view of the law and order situation in Manipur will now be conducted on any date between June 3 and 5, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Friday.

The NTA also said that the CUET-UG will be conducted in the state from June 5 to 8 and the postgraduate entrance exam CUET-PG from June 5 to 17.

Sadhna Parashar said, “NTA has carefully reviewed the law and order situation in consultation with the state administration of Manipur and the state government has decided to give test centers to the candidates for NEET-UG, CUET-UG and CUET-PG Is.” , Senior Director of NTA.

“The option to change city for examination is also available to candidates in Manipur who have not appeared or missed NEET-UG, CUET-UG due to law and order situation, even though they have downloaded their admit cards Be or not. For these exams,” she said.

Manipur has witnessed violence in the state over the move to grant Scheduled Tribe status to the majority Metis community. Naga and Kuki tribals opposing the plan organized a ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ following which clashes broke out.

While NEET-UG was conducted across the country on May 7, CUET-UG began on May 21.
