In a new development, police have said that Shraddha Walker murder accused Aftab Poonaval moved goods in 37 boxes from his flat in Maharashtra’s Palghar district to Delhi in June and paid Rs 20,000 for the same.
Poonawalla had told the Delhi Police that before leaving, he and Walker had fought over who would pay for carrying the belongings from their home in Palghar’s Vasai area.
The police is going to trace the accounts of Shraddha and Aftab to see which account was used to make the said payment to Goodluck Packers and Movers Company.
A Delhi Police team on Sunday recorded the statement of an employee of a packaging company in Maharashtra’s Palghar district after it emerged that Poonawalla had transferred the goods in 37 packages from his flat in White Hills Society in Vasai’s Evershine town . Delhi’s Chhatarpur area in June.
To record their statements from the owner of the house where Shraddha and Aftab stayed in 2021 as well as the owner of the flat in Mira Road area near Mumbai where the family members of the accused were staying till a fortnight ago said.
Delhi Police will also take Aftab Amin Poonawalla to the hospital for some important pre-tests before the narco test on Monday. As Aftab’s five-day police custody ends on Tuesday, Delhi Police is racing against time to get him tested at Dr BR Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini.
According to sources, the police have officially approached Rohini FSL to conduct his narco test, but it is not yet confirmed whether it will be done on Monday or not.
