Jaipur. The approval of the proposal to amend the qualification of Physiotherapist cadre under the Medical and Health Subordinate Services Rules 1965 in the State Cabinet has come into controversy. According to this, now Senior Secondary Biology Science with Diploma and Bachelor in Physiotherapist course from a state government recognized institute has been recognized for direct recruitment. Diploma course has not been conducted in the state for 35 years. According to the information, diploma course in physiotherapy was stopped in the year 1988 itself. Rajasthan University of Health Sciences is also not conducting DPT course since its inception in 2006.
