New Delhi: Clarifying on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar’s meeting with Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad, NCP MLA Jayant Patil said that there is no need to mix two different things.
Patil said, “There is no need to object to it, it was just a project where Sharad Pawar went and inaugurated it. Sharad Pawar has always supported the decisions taken in the meetings of the INDIA alliance and hence there is no need to mix the two things.”
Patil said that there should be no controversy on this because inviting Gautam Adani and India Block are two different things. He also said that the NCP chief has known Adani for a long time and he has invited Sharad Pawar for the event.
Jayant Patil said, “All discussions of the INDIA alliance are done by all the leaders where Sharad Pawar is also present… And as far as the inauguration is concerned, Sharad Pawar knows him (Gautam Adani), and he had invited him. “This inauguration was a new investment.”

Sharad Pawar at X said, “It was a privilege to inaugurate India’s first lactoferrin plant EximPower at Vasna, Chacharwadi, Gujarat with Gautam Adani.”
Earlier in April, Gautam Adani had met NCP chief Pawar at his residence Silver Oak in Mumbai. In a press conference in April, NCP chief Sharad Pawar had said that today names of businessmen and industrialists are taken to criticize the government.
He said, “Nowadays the names of Ambani-Adani are being taken (to criticize the government), but we need to think about their contribution to the country. I think other issues like unemployment, price rise and farmers’ issues are more important.”
