North Waziristan operation: Terrorist killed, 2 martyred


A terrorist was killed in a security forces operation in North Waziristan while two youths were martyred in an exchange of fire.

According to ISPR, security forces conducted an operation in Miranshah area of ​​North Waziristan on the information of presence of terrorists, during which a terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire. Weapons and ammunition recovered during the operation were also seized.

Naik Khalil and soldier Shakrullah were martyred in the exchange of fire. Naik Khalil, 34, hails from Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Shakrullah, 21, hails from Lakki Marwat.

Earlier on October 18, unidentified terrorists opened fire on a check post of the forces in Spin Wam area of ​​North Waziristan. The forces responded immediately and returned fire to their hideouts. Saifullah, a 25-year-old soldier, was martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists.

It may be recalled that on October 12, the forces had conducted an intelligence operation in Mir Ali area of ​​North Waziristan in which one terrorist was killed while weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorist.
