Omicron vaccine coming to India soon, hints Adar Poonawala IG News

This time the tool to fight against Omicron is going to come to India. Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India pvt. Ltd., said his company has started working on an effective vaccine against Omicron. This vaccine will mainly be effective against sub-variant B5 of Omicron. Also able to work against major variants with sub-variants of Omicron.

Omicron’s sub-variant has again increased the spread of Corona in the country. Every day thousands of people are affected in the country. Corona infection has again gained momentum in the capital Delhi and Maharashtra. Most of the patients in Delhi were found to be infected with Omicron subspecies. In such a situation, Adar Poonawala, director of Serum in India, said that the Omicron vaccine is going to arrive in India soon.

According to sources, Serum Institute of India is working with Novavax on Omicron’s special vaccine. Poonawala said this in an interview given to the media. He said it is hoped that the vaccine being developed against Omicron will be on the market by the end of this year.

According to Poonawalla, the vaccine Seram is developing will primarily work against sub-variant B5 of Omicron. However, this vaccine will work against subspecies of Omicron as well as its major forms.

Adar Punawala said that this vaccine is also very important as a booster dose. Poonawala commented that the promotion of Omicron vaccine in India is very important. According to him, it is very important in a populous country like India. Because Omicron is not a light matter at all. Rather, it presented itself as a serious flu.

It is known that Britain is already concerned about Omicron. And that’s why they have already approved Moderna’s updated vaccine.

The new vaccine was approved by Britain on Monday in view of Omicron’s growing momentum. Britain’s Medicines Regulatory Agency has approved Moderna’s vaccine. Britain is the first country to approve a separate coronavirus vaccine for the Omicron variant. According to sources, this new vaccine will be given as a booster dose to people aged 18 and above in that country.
