Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the court complex in Istanbul on Tuesday.
“We offer our sincere condolences to the brotherly people and government of Turkey and pray for the speedy and full recovery of those injured in this heinous attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families,” a Foreign Ministry spokesperson wrote in a statement.
Turkish media reports that two gunmen who tried to attack a checkpoint outside a court in Istanbul were caught dead.
“Today there was an attempted terrorist attack at the security checkpoint in front of Gate C of the Caglayan Court,” Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on X after the attack, which injured six people, including three police officers.
The Foreign Office spokesperson also reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm solidarity with Turkey in its fight against the scourge of terrorism.
