Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, who is recovering after suffering gunshot wounds during a rally on November 3, had sought exemption from today’s hearing.

A Pakistani court on Tuesday said PTI chief and former prime minister Imran Khan will be indicted in the Toshakhana reference case. Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal said Khan would be arraigned on February 7, Dawn reported. Khan, who is recovering from gunshot injuries during a rally on November 3, had sought exemption from today’s hearing.
During the hearing, Justice Iqbal directed the PTI chief to deposit a bail bond of Rs 20,000 and ensure personal presence in the court on the next hearing.
Khan was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) last year for allegedly misleading officials about toshakhana (gifts) received from foreign leaders during his tenure as prime minister. The reference was made by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) against Khan on August 4, 2022.
