One person died after a plane crash in northwestern Ontario, police say.
The accident was reported to Ontario Provincial Police in Kenora around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release issued Thursday by OPP News.
Police and the Joint Rescue Coordination Center responded to the crash site on Shore Island on the Lake of the Woods, about 30 kilometers south of Kenora, where they found one occupant dead.
Ontario’s chief coroner’s office and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service plan to conduct an autopsy.
Transport Safety Board has also been notified
