The Tamil Nadu Police has told the Madras High Court that the assistant of BJP state president Annamalai Krishnakumar and others are behind the issue of pasting a poster defamatory of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.

It is said that on the 11th, a poster defaming Chief Minister Stalin was put up in North Chennai area.

In this regard, a case was registered at the North Shore Police Station on a complaint lodged by Port East Branch Secretary Rajasekhar.

Arumugam and Ramesh from Mannadi had earlier filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking bail in this case.

This petition Judge A.T. Jagadish Chandra came to trial earlier. Then lawyer Vinod Raj appeared for the police and said that in this complaint Krishnakumar, the aide of BJP state president Annamalai, has been arrested and evidence has been found that he was the one who provided financial support to these posters.

The judge adjourned the hearing to September 27 and ordered that the petitioners should not be arrested until then.
