Mohali, April 12, H.B. : 27-year-old Punjabi singer R Sukhraj alias Raj Singh died in a tragic road accident in Sector 87 of Mohali. The accident is said to have happened at 4 am. Sukhraj was riding in a Fortuner along with his four companions. The Fortuner first hit an electric pole and then overturned after colliding with a tractor trolley parked on the roadside. R Sukhraj died on the spot while his companions were seriously injured. Fortuner was driven by Sukhraj’s friend Himanshu Sahni. All have been admitted to the Phase 6 hospital. The police of Sohana police station have registered a case under section 304 A, 279 of IPC against his friend Himanshu Sahni on the statement of Jora Singh, father of deceased Sukhraj.
