According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), another cyclonic circulation is present in Northeast Rajasthan. Due to their influence, rain is likely to occur at many places across the country from 16th to 20th. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds in the Western Himalayan region. According to IMD, rain is likely to occur in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan from March 17 to 20.

According to IMD, hailstorm is also likely to occur at many places in western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during March 17 to 19. During March 16 to 19, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh are likely to experience rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds. While the Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of hailstorm at many places in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on March 17.

While on March 18, there is a possibility of heavy rain at various places in Chhattisgarh. The IMD has forecast rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds from March 16 to 19 in interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka in southern peninsular India.

According to the IMD, hailstorm is also likely to occur at some places in Telangana on March 17. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to receive heavy rain at some places on March 18. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds during March 16 to 20 in Northeast India.

Rain is expected in Bihar, Jharkhand and Ganga West Bengal on March 17 and Odisha on March 18.
