The Islamabad High Court issued a notice to the Principal Secretary of the Federation. President and Prime Minister Chief Election Commissioner, Chairman NADRA, Secretary Senate Secretariat and other parties regarding the request for compulsory domicile in Islamabad for election contestants. On the Islamabad seat of the Senate, a response has been sought within 2 weeks.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the plea of ​​former High Court Bar President Nayab Gurdizi, lawyer SM Yawar appeared in court on behalf of the petitioner, DG Law Arshad Khan and Zaigham Anees appeared in court on behalf of the Election Commission.

The petitioner took the position in court that Islamabad was given two Senate seats, everyone from across the country would be elected to the Senate of Islamabad.
