New Delhi: Rinku Singh, who grabbed headlines by leading Kolkata Knight Riders to victory with five consecutive sixes in the Indian Premier League 2023, is all set to make a mark for the Indian team for the upcoming tour of Ireland and the Hangzhou Asian Games. When Rinku was asked to react on making a place in the Indian team, he said, “Our job is just to score runs.” If you get a match, you will do well. I don’t think much. The above just see. Rinku wants to give something back to the game and is building a small hostel near the ground in Aligarh. He learned the tricks of cricket in Aligarh itself. The hostel will have the facility to accommodate at least 15 boys from underprivileged sections where they will pursue their game under the guidance of coach Amini.
Rinku said, “I am building a hostel and there is a cricket ground near it, so it will be easy for the children. A person like my elder brother told me to do some planning for these kids. Let’s make hostels. He gave half the amount and I decided to give the other part.” Rinku said that her captain Nitish Rana has supported her a lot in the Knight Riders team while coach Abhishek Nayar is her real guide.
