Rita Wilson has responded to a viral video in which she and her husband Tom Hanks are seen shouting at a man at the Cannes Film Festival.
The couple, who celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary last month, attended a film festival to see Wes Anderson’s new film asteroid city, you can read IndependentHere’s a glowing review of the film.
After the event, photos went viral on social media, showing Hanks and Wilson yelling at an unidentified man on the red carpet.
Hanks, who stars in asteroid city, was seen pointing a finger at the person and making a stern face during the conversation. Wilson, similarly, appeared from a distance to get caught up in a heated discussion.
However, Wilson, 66, has now denied that any such argument took place, explaining that she and Hanks struggled to hear directions on the red carpet.
In a post shared to her Instagram Story on Wednesday (May 24), Wilson reposted a news article which said the pair had a “counterpartial” with the man.
“It’s called, ‘I can’t hear you. People are screaming. What did you say? Where are we going?'” Wilson wrote.
