Gugghus: A case of sand theft on a large scale has come to the fore by installing motorboats, JCB, Poklen machines from the Wardha river using the land owned by WCL. Taking major action, the administration has seized machines like motorboat, JCB, Poklen. It is surprising that even after this type of sand was stolen in the area of ​​Waikoli, the Waikoli officials were not aware of it.

The administration had received a complaint about illegal sand mining started in the vessel of Wardha river near the city of Ghugghus. Based on this complaint, a team led by Sub-Divisional Officer Muruganantham M. raided Nakoda Ghat when illegal mining by a motor boat had started in the concerned area. Here, illegal sand mining started from the river by preparing a ramp to go to the sand ghat located at the place owned by Vaikoli. Along with this, a JCB, a poklen machine and a stock of approximately 40 brass sand were found in area survey number 56 of Waikoli.

All the vehicles and materials involved in this illegal mining have been seized. Punitive action will be taken by the administration against the owner of the vehicle and the relatives who store sand illegally as per the rules.
