The province has fined a Saskatchewan power company $56,000 for a serious workplace injury.

Humboldt-based Hargot Electric pleaded guilty earlier this month in Saskatoon provincial court to one breach of the province’s workplace safety regulations.

The company was charged after a worker suffered serious injuries when a scissor lift fell while it was being loaded into a trailer, according to a news release from the Ministry of Labor.

This incident took place on October 20, 2020.
