Saudi Arabia announces lifting of travel bans on Pakistan and other countries
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has announced the lifting of air travel bans on Pakistan, Brazil, Vietnam and other countries.
According to the Saudi Gazette, the Saudi government on Thursday announced the lifting of travel bans on various countries.
Passengers from Pakistan, Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt and India will be able to travel directly to Saudi Arabia from December 1 after the travel ban is lifted.

According to the Interior Ministry, passengers will have to provide details of their corona vaccination in advance, as well as a booster dose of the vaccine approved by Saudi Arabia.
According to sources, after arriving in Saudi Arabia, passengers will have to spend five days in quarantine while 72 hours before departure will have to show PCR report.

Saudi Arabia has also announced that it will maintain travel bans on Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Lebanon and Turkey.

Previously, visitors from Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Egypt and Vietnam will no longer have to stay in another country for 14 days and will be able to travel directly to Saudi Arabia.
On the other hand, after the lifting of air travel ban, the Umrah ban imposed on these countries will also be lifted. Visitors from Indonesia, Pakistan and India will also be allowed to perform Umrah from next month.

Reacting to the lifting of travel restrictions, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) sources said that booking of tickets would start as soon as the written permission was received from Saudi Aviation.
It may be recalled that the Saudi government had imposed travel bans on various countries in view of the Corona, after which the bans on some countries were revised and the ban on direct flights from those countries was maintained.
