Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud commented on 35(a). He said that due to Article 35(A), equality and fundamental rights of citizens in the country have been harmed. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta pointed out that 35 (A) gives privileges to the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir. This is discriminatory.
