Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in many districts of Rajasthan. On the other hand, due to the fear of heavy rain in three districts of the state, schools have been declared closed on Monday.

Weather Update: The weather has changed drastically in Rajasthan. Monsoon has become active. Monsoon trough line is passing through Rajasthan. In view of the changing weather patterns, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in many districts. Banswara, Sirohi, Pratapgarh are the main ones. According to the alert issued by the Meteorological Department on Monday morning, there is a possibility of rain in 12 districts of Rajasthan within 2 hours. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder at some places in Jaipur, Dausa, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Udaipur, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Kota, Barmer, Sirohi, Chittorgarh districts. In view of the possibility of heavy rain, holiday has been declared in schools of three districts of Rajasthan, Jalore, Sanchore and Banswara.

Wellmark Low-Pressure System Active

Meteorological Center Jaipur Director Radheshyam Sharma said, a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal progressed into a Wellmark low-pressure system. This system is currently active on the border of Madhya Pradesh. The western wind has also weakened, due to which this system has continuously moved beyond the Bay of Bengal and reached Madhya Pradesh via Odisha, Chhattisgarh and is likely to reach the Gujarat border. This system is so effective that due to its effect, there is heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh, southern parts of Rajasthan, some parts of Maharashtra and districts of Gujarat.

5 percent more rain in Rajasthan so far

If we keep an eye on the figures of monsoon season, this time Rajasthan has received 5 percent more rainfall than normal. The average rainfall in the state from June 1 to September 15 is 417.7 MM, while the total rainfall so far this season has been 438.6 MM.
